I love watching your videos, they help so much with dinners. I always end up making the same things. Unfortunately, I can't have red meat or onions and garlic, so I have to make substitutions, but your recipes are so good that the substitutions don't make much of a difference.

The only thing that could have made that apricot chicken better was 4 baked potatoes and a half cup or so of Minute Rice. 😉

I love that you tried these recipes and as much as you liked the sweet and tangy chicken dish…i think it’s the only one we’d skip. My husband can’t stand fruit with meat combinations 😂

My mom always made jiffy muffins with dinner! Almost every night and if she didn’t we had toast.

I was very intrigued by the sweet and savory chicken recipe. I'm not really a fan of thousand island dressing, but I gave it a try. It blew my mind by how good it was. That is definitely a keeper.

I often double the veggies in a recipe or adding veggies to dishes that don’t call for veggies.

Yes, eating out is not a necessity! I am completely debt free, but I pack my lunch to take to work at least four days a week. One day a week I will buy a sandwich at work for $6.69 and will pack a veggie and/or a fruit to go with it. Sometimes I only eat half the sandwich and take the rest home for dinner.

Use up apricot preserves with this version of coronation chicken salad. It originated as a British dish and it's really good. 5 tbsp mayonnaise ¼ c jarred Madras Curry sauce 2 tbsp apricot jam 2 tbsp lime juice, from 1 lime 1 tsp kosher salt 1 rotisserie chicken, pulled ¾ c celery, finely chopped (optional) ⅓ c green onions, chopped, from 1 bunch (optional) ¼ c cilantro or parsley chopped and loosely packed green leaf lettuce (optional) Stir together mayonnaise, curry sauce, apricot jam, lime juice and salt in a medium bowl. Add chicken, celery, green onion and cilantro and fold to combine. Top slices of bread with about 1/2-cup scoop of chicken salad and some lettuce.

Banana sorbet. Cheap and perfect for summer! Can use with regular or overripe bananas. slice bananas. place in freezer for a few hours then add to food processor or blender with chopped mint (to taste, prolly 1-2 leaves) and 1/2 - 3/4 Tbsp honey per banana. Add 1/2 Tbsp sour cream/milk/creme fraiche per banana, enough to emulsify, then eat or put back it freezer. I ate mine with apricot or peach preserves but chocolate syrup makes It taste like a chocolate covered banana.

These recipes look so tasty, however, we are getting so tired of shredded chicken. It's been so hot down here in S. Florida and my husband won't do another crockpot meal. LOL Sending him to the grill!

Oh man, I love seeing viewer recipes. It’s usually pretty hard for me to visualize recipes when they’re just written down, but following a video makes it so much easier to try them out. That said, I always did pork chops in the crock pot too 😂 1-2 packets of boneless pork chops however may carrots fit(we usually leave them in halves, and full sized carrots are better than baby for some reason, but we use baby carrots when we don’t want to peel them) A Can of cream of mushroom A couple dashes of soy sauce At the end when I shred the pork chops, I’ll add a cornstarch slurry to thicken it up. We always served it was mashed potatoes, a side of green beans, and a crescent roll. Unfortunately I don’t like pork after getting covid, so I’ve started using beef instead, but the OG recipe was always pork

I love this idea so much! Thank you for making this video. I also wanted to say that you have helped me to change some of how I cook for my family. One super positive thing is the fact that I have started serving fruit with dinner more nights of the week than not. Fruit is a hard one for my family, we don’t naturally grab it for a snack. Serving it with dinner or as dessert after has helped a lot.
